Let me explain :dummy:

For about the past 2-3 weeks now I've been working on and off for an entry to this: [link] A greeting card scholarship competition

AND, since almost every winner was a christmas/winter themed card, I figured I'd have my best shot if I did something of the same sort. And I wanted to work on it now when I had the motivation rather than waiting weeks and weeks and getting closer to the deadline with nothing ready to send in. xDDD

Even if I don't win, I'm still incredibly proud of this, there's lots of things I probably could've done better but it was great painting practice either way and is an awesome piece I can have to put in my portfolio for college. <3

AS FAR AS THE PICTURE ITSELF the idea was to draw simply a family celebrating the holiday's in this day and age, with video games and tablets, big screen tv's and electronic fireplaces, all the kind of stuff that seems common place now in society today. Also everyone always seems to draw creatures EXCEPT elves actually enjoying the holidays- instead they're always stuck in pictures working and laboring for the holiday. For all we know they might get off work christmas day when the toys are all delivered and celebrate just like the rest of us! >:I

And in case you were wondering yes their designs were inspired by the likes of keebler or rice crispies elves than the usual "christmas" elf. xDDDD Cause I've always liked their really retro designs.

ANYWAYS I CAN WORK ON OTHER ART NOW YAY :iconexplodeplz:

:iconilavplz: :icondelightfulplz: OH WOW! Do you have any idea how FREAKING GOOD this is!? I mean your "Rayman Origins" image was fantastic, but this one has a very solid, consistent style that make you so much more legit.

You should have no problem building a fantastic portfolio for college if you keep this up. And you shall have no problem landing a good art design job either.
