This is the first time I can't decide who of this entire gang turned out to be the funniest!
...Okay, first off, my personal SMRPG favorite, Yaridovich. It's pleasant to see someone else place the smile onto his sideblades - usually people draw him either with a frown, or, in rare cases, with a smile "in the air" - beneath the moustache. Second off, Bowyer, who doesn't look scary even one bit! Judging the pose, he simply wants to play, no matter with whom... or is already playing an acrobat and is about to perform a triple backflip. Same with Booster and Mack: a big kid (at heart) and a small kid (well, Mack seems to be one).
Love the "paper cutout" look, the poses and the composition. To me, it'd be even more amazing, if only Geno looked more happy - or at least decisive. But if he was meant to look as he does, then okay, I have nothing against.
Haha, this is SUPER DUPER late but I'm way surprised that no one's critiqued this yet. I mean, it has comments but you know what I mean. XP
This single piece marks the amount of greatness Piranha is able to achieve, and it's just the tip of the iceburg of her potential. This is a beautifully stunning piece of digital art. The colors and the lineart look as if they were done for a boxcover for the actual game. The characters have so much personality, evident by their poses and expressions. It's utterly, superbly executed and Lord knows how hard she worked on it. XD
Awww I actually needed a minute after seeing this. This really takes me back to the good old days~ I played Super Mario RPG Almost religiously. Every few months, play through it again just to see all the characters and bosses again. You drew everyoneh ere perfectly with your own amazing flare! Mario and everyone look amazing, Geno reminds me how Selfish Square Enix is, and the Bosses all look as zany and bad-arse as they were in the games. and the Shadowy fade of Smithy looming over them all is just epic! Procrastination works if it gets you something this good! <3 Sorry for the wall of text XD But this deserved it!
I was personally saving them for when I could draw them better so they could be in their own individual picture. Plus any more characters and t'would throw off the balance of the whole poster lest I wanted to cover the whole castle up.
